Bookmark Description:

Barry's bookmark is red and gold both colors intertwining in swirls of what looks like lighting or just flashes of light. and when someone twists it, the bookmark looks like the light is moving. In the center of the bookmark is a clear lighting symbol that also looks like it might be fluid when the bookmark is moved or flexed.

Personality:

Barry is one of those people who is cheerful almost all the time even at his lowest point. He is the cheerleader of the DCTV universe with an inner strength that others can clearly see even though Barry himself cannot always see it.  He believes that being positive gets you further then focusing on anger and pain. He also isn’t afraid to tell people off when they are being morons. He freely admits he and Oliver Queen work as friends because he pushes Oliver out of his natural darkness and Oliver reminds Barry that there is always more training to do.

One of Barry’s greatest weaknesses is his willingness to trust everyone right off the bat. This trust has bitten him on the butt twice when Hunter Zolomon and Eobard Thawne pretended to be mentors to Barry and then betrayed him and his friends. Barry is slowly learning to be wary when meeting someone knew, but sometimes he jumps in to welcome someone to the group when he should hesitate and listen to someone else.

Barry is also one of those people who thinks far too much with his heart and a little less with his head.  When he feels like something is unfair or completely wrong he will do whatever he can to change it. The biggest example of this is saving his mother. Barry knew from the start of season one that changing time was dangerous, he had been told this by different people. And yet when he felt he had no other choice he changed time so that he could have his family back again.

Barry also feels deeply. When he messes up, which as a new hero he does often, he internalized his mistakes and carries them close. He always tries to fix what he broke, but it doesn’t always work the way he wants it to. However, Barry is a quick learner both mentally and emotionally. If something isn’t working, he willingly backs off and waits for another opening.

Barry is a natural leader even if he himself doesn’t think so. His cheerful personality draws people to him and they are willing to follow where he wants to go. Barry feels awkward about the whole situation and he feels as though he isn’t ready for the responsibility.  Still when the chips are down, Barry Allen rises up and does his best to be the hero everyone around him knows he can be.

So a lot of us are new here and this place is kind of creepy, but that doesn't mean we can't have a little fun helping out.

[He frowns for a second but then the sunny expression is back again.]

Okay maybe not too much fun, saving the world can be rough even when you know what you are doing. Still that doesn't mean we can't relax now and then. So if any of you are interested in a mixer thing...with eggnog meet me in the Marketplace.

[Barry zips out of frame then there is a pause and he zips back in,]

Oh and my name is Barry by the way...Barry Allen...sorry I forgot.
